Full course description
This course will introduce you to the DMPS CPSP, which is a structured, data-driven process that is critical to a Multi-Tiered System of Supports in implementing and evaluating supports that integrate academic and behavioral instruction and interventions. Equity and inclusion are central to the CPSP, as the structured process creates the opportunity to include the voices of students, families, and the community as authentic education partners. Equity, inclusiveness, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making should be foundational to all DMPS structures.
Outcomes:
1. Understand the process and integrated principles (underpinning, foundation, basis, attributes, values, tenets, embedded work) of the Collaborative Problem-Solving Process (CPSP)
2. Locate and review your school’s CPSP
3. Contextualize the principals of a data-based decision making process to your setting and role
4. Identify actions for embedding the CPSP into your daily work
